The damper seals your attic when the fan isn't running. Higher R-value = better insulation = lower heating costs in winter.

Where will it be installed?
Most installs are ceiling-mounted. Wall installs with an R-5 damper need a separate adapter; R-13 dampers support wall installation natively.

Pre-Wired for Third-Party Smart Plug Control
Your fan ships with a plug-and-play pre-wired power cord that works with any off-the-shelf, app-based smart plug you provide (smart plug not included). The smart plug controls ON/OFF only. Speed, timer, and temperature stay on your fan's remote or wall switch, and when the smart plug turns the fan back on, it resumes the settings from your last session.
